There are probably 100s of potential uses for cameraphones,beyond the obvious one of taking fun snaps. One great example is Nutrax; a service that encourages people to send photographs of their meals online.

Nutrax’s professional nutritionist then analyzes the photos and makes suggestions and recommendation for the individual’s diet.

Hopefully, the pictures are of high enough resolution so the food can be seen, but the quality of cameras has been steadily improving.

There are probably dozens of other opportunities for these phones to connect to services; insurance is an obvious one, as is the repair and servicing of domestic equipment.
