Make magazine celebrates hacking
October 27, 2005
Make magazine is bringing hacker culture out into the open. Through its magazine and website, Make not only celebrates the multiple forms of hacker culture, it encourages members to join with its easy to follow (relatively) guides.
At the recent European open-source conference, Make showcased the talents of some of its leading hackers including:
Promise.tv- a system that automatically records every TV program over a 7 day period, so you don’t have to
Suntrap handbag- a handbag that traps light from the sun and uses it to illuminate the bag’s interior
The Podcast Network- legally showcasing music from unsigned bands
Ipod hacks- 100s of hacks for the popular player
