Reznor open sources his music

April 16, 2005

Trent Reznor, of Nine Inch Nails fame, has just made the Garageband files of his latest single available for all. This isn’t simply about giving away the track to play with, but all the musical elements. This means anyone with a Mac and Garageband can remix the track or take elements from it and make their own.

This is a major move, given the size of the artist. Influx expects others to quickly follow and for Apple to reap some important benefits for its iTunes service and Garageband software.
