You tube- a new test lab or a new network?

June 29, 2006

Karl Long has a great post about a pilot for a TV sitcom that’s made its way onto You Tube

The 10-minute segment for the show, that never made it, has been viewed over 290,000 times.

Karl’s points:

Is You Tube a new research tool?

Can anyone make a show viable for an audience of 250,000?

Influx’s points:

Could You Tube start commissioning its own shows?

Could new “micro-network producers” cluster around You Tube?

Are any of the big production houses thinking about using You Tube?
