John battelle to speak at influx’s m-squared conference

Influx is pleased to announce that John Battelle will speak at our M-Squared conference on October 3rd at the Golden Gate Club in San Francisco.
John is an author, journalist and entrepreneur. He is currently the Chairman and Publisher of Federated Media, a company that’s pushing boundaries in the world of blogs. John was the founder of The Industry Standard and prior to The Standard John was the co-founding editor of Wired Magazine and a founder of Wired Ventures.
In addition, John recently wrote the book “The Search: How Google and Its Rivals Rewrote the Rules of Business and Transformed our Culture”
In its review, The Economist wrote “John Battelle is Silicon Valley’s Bob Woodward. One of the founders of Wired magazine, he has hung around Google for so long that he has come to be as close as any outsider can to actually being an insider.The result is a highly readable account of Google’s astonishing rise.”
John also publishes one of the most widely read blogs on the internet search business, Searchblog.
