Willie nelson moves into biofuel
February 13, 2006
Supporters of the growing alternative fuel movement have found themselves an unlikely advocate in singer, Willie Nelson. The 72 year-old Texan has put his name on a new brand of fuel made from soybeans called, BioWillie.
Biodiesel is the fastest growing alternative fuel sources, but only commands 1% of the diesel market. Part of the problem is lack of awareness and understanding, the other is the lack of distribution. Currently, only 600 gas stations sell biodiesel.
Nelson is fully behind the initiative because he believes it will help reduce the country’s dependency on oil and it also provides American farmers with a new line of business.
Planning challenge- How should Willie get his biodiesel message out?
