Dell responds to the ideastormers
March 7, 2007
A couple of weeks ago, Influx reported on the Ideastorm crowdsurfing initiative from Dell. Consumers have responded in droves; with over 85,000 registering to contibute ideas. By far the most popular suggestion was for Linux software to be installed on the machine instead of Microsoft. Of course, this is one of the hardest things for Dell to do from a business perspective, but with 100,000 people asking for it on the company’s new suggestion box (Ideastorm), they have no choice, but to respond and tell people they are looking into it.
Welcome to the new transparent world Mr. Dell.
