Luxury advertiser adds credibility to new business magazine
February 18, 2007
The founder of Wallpaper has just launched a new magazine Monocle.
Judging from the website, it looks like an interesting mix of business, culture, design and travel. The website has some interesting video content that includes an interview with the CEO of Lego.
One of the “design elements” of the website, is the sponsorship by watchmaker, Rolex.
Located in the top right hand corner and displaying times from around the world, the advertising from this iconic luxury brand serves as a credibility endorsement for the new title.
Monocle has a myriad of competitors including; Fortune, Business Week, The Economist’s Intelligent Life and the soon to be launched, Portfolio from Conde-Nast, which, like Monocle, is said to be an interesting blend of business and culture.
Monocle’s circulation goal is 60,000 copies.
