Brand Obama

Influx has been waiting for this study for some time and it has finally arrived; a branding study on the democratic hopefuls for 2008. Produced by Chernoff Newman and Marketsearch, it takes a look at the candidates as brands; examining awareness, qualities and perceptions.

To summarize:

Clinton: Competence, Volvo, Microsoft and the Yankees
Edwards: Compassion, Prius, Blackberry and Red Sox

Obama: Star Power, BMW Z4, Apple and the Chicago Cubs

There’s even a blog about this study and obviously there are more results to come. For those of you that are interested, the analysis of the Republican candidates is due May 8th.
