Streaming one’s life away
March 13, 2007
If you remove some elements of your privacy and feel comfortable sharing, you can have a translucent life, one that’s visible and accessible to all.
Your thoughts and actions are available for anyone to see and interact with if they so desire.
You are open to conversation and dialog, remote or real with anyone, not just your “friends”.
Emily Chang has been experimenting, consolidating all her web activities into an RSS stream that can be accessed here
It looks like this…
It documents here whereabouts, her music, what she is eating, where she is heading.
Some speculate that this is the future of the blog; a streaming flow of activity that individuals document and create in real time or a giant nervous system with constant streams of data.
How we cope with all this information is yet to be determined.
Do we embrace the flow or try to dam it?
