Building to a vision

Techcrunch has a series of video interviews with Denis Crowley, the founder of Foursquare, which covers a lot of ground.

Crowley amplifies the importance of building stuff over sketching, but what’s important is that he’s doing this with a grand vision in mind.

His drive to build is inspired by the idea of “having the phone coming alive and telling you what to do.’

So while there seems to be a valid movement to get stuff done and built, without the pathway and a clear vision, its pretty hard to do.

As a great example of Crowley’s vision coming to life, take a look at Foursquare’s latest deal with financial giant, American Express that allows card members to discover deals from local merchants.
