Re-imagining the printer
September 20, 2011
The computer printer has to be one of the dullest and least interesting devices there is. People have nothing, but resentment for their printers because they seem to do the least interesting work accompanied, by nothing but problems. They are poorly made from ill-fitting plastic components, they always break-down and their cartridge refills cost a small fortune.
Thankfully, instead of forgetting about the printer and simply imagining its imminent demise, because “who needs to print anything these days!” – design agency-Artecfact have put their minds to re-imagining the type of printer that would get people excited. By attaching a touch screen to the printer- it suddenly takes on a new form- no longer the “dumb servant”, it becomes a companion helping you bring you bring your images to life.
