Brilliant glass from ICFF

May 15, 2011

At the Model Citizens show last night, part of the ICFF, I was struck by something pretty interesting.

Glass recycling is one of the most common and expected forms of reuse around and we’ve seen various examples of the application with cut bottles turned into glasses and vases.

Klass Kuiken did something different with old glass bottles- he developed his own glass oven to blow up and create new shapes from old bottles. He played with heat and pressure controls on his oven to create these strange new shapes.
