Influx Creativity Conference-Speaker Spotlight- Eliza Esquivel-Mondelez International

In a world consumed by ideas, the challenge is to develop, support and importantly create ideas that are going to stand out from the rest and work potently to help companies grow.

The idea is the easy part; an idea that drives business forward isn’t.

We believe that it’s creativity that ultimately determines how powerful an idea can be and for this reason we are hosting the Influx Creativity Conference on October 15th to examine and explore creativity from a variety of different angles.

We have an incredible line up of speakers that includes; artists, innovators, creators and idea champions- each of whom has been individually responsible for the development of breakthrough thinking; from Georg Petschnigg  and his team at Fifty Three who developed Paper; Apple’s app of the year in 2012, through to David Yazbek; a composer with a couple of hit Broadway musicals under his belt.

Another speaker is, Eliza Esquivel who is Vice President, Global Brand Strategy at Mondelēz International. Eliza is responsible for ensuring that brilliant creative communication ideas are developed and championed by and for Mondelēz International. Eliza understands what it takes internally to sell an idea inside a corporate giant, how to identify a great idea and how to inspire her agency partners to develop one.

She is responsible for nurturing the development of high growth global brand strategies and leads an international team of strategists who provide planning resource to the business units. She is a progressive thinker with a balance of classical planning, creative and integrated strategic skills accumulated across a wide range of global brands including Coke, McDonald’s, Nike, Philips, Accenture and Skittles.

Prior to joining Kraft, Eliza was Head of Planning at TBWA/CHIAT/DAY NEW YORK, where she led the management and development of the planning and digital strategy department.

As a 2012 TED Ads’ Worth Spreading Judge, she created a social media conversation with industry leaders around brave creative. In 2012 she expanded her research on Social Activism in the US to 9 countries and presented the findings at SXSW Interactive in partnership with Participant Media.

Prior to TBWA New York, Eliza was Planning Director at W+K Amsterdam, and held planning positions at JWT New York and DDB. She holds an MA in Communication from the University of Texas at Austin.
