What happens when talent hijacks your spot and turns into something else entirely and then throws it up on YouTube?

This fake Nissan spot is one example.

fake nissan ad
Hi, I live in Germany and here this commercial plays on TV - so this is NOT a fake commercial. Just wanted to let you know, that even people in Germany read this blog.

is it a trend? is it a problem?
Does negative user-generated content have a negative effect on sales or is it proof that advertisements are getting through? Probably both. I'm worried this is a trend because of what I see in the bloggosphere - perhaps the easiest, most common form of user-generated content. I find that most bloggers respond to posts when they have a problem with what is being talked about. Does this mean people are more vocal when they are offended rather than pleased?
