We identified four tiers that represented the type of institutions needed to make this phenomenon a reality. Tier 2 is made up of those who consumers to publish, create and distribute. Blurb.com , rumored to be one of the stars of the Demo Emerging Tech Conference, fits perfectly into that space.
Demo allows people to take any content that they have created and turn into one of the most tangible pieces of portable creativity, a book. You basically download their special software and you are off. Blurb will also help you sell your books.
They clearly understand the whole idea of consumer empowerment and give everyone the chance to be an author as their CEO explains in a letter. We are not sure about the Blurbarian thing, but the rest is pretty cool.
