There's nothing wrong with the product demo approach to advertising, providing the product demo is truthful and based on a real experience. It looks as though Apple might have got itself into a little bit of trouble with its ads touting speed a level of speed that isn't delivered in the real world....

Product demonstration is the oldest form of persuassion in the business, but back in the day it was usually faked in some way. In the days of taste challenges and whiter washing you never can knew if the advertiser was playing with the audience. There was very little that was transparent about it....
