Telling a real story- branded content
September 7, 2010
There are so many ways to tell a story, but in today’s environment where truth and honesty are so important, an ad might get you attention, but it might not buy you credibility and PR might bring you credibility, but it’s hard to guarantee and control. Branded content in the form of real storytelling is an avenue open to many, but very little used. Ad creatives find it too flat a medium, companies struggle to do it themselves with their internal resources and most of the time, PR agencies lack the creative sensibility to develop something interesting, so there’s an opportunity out there.
Here’s an example of a great film from Oxford Clothes, the only suit factory left in the United States.(Via 37 Signals).
