Low Wages Are Holding Back US Growth

The Wall Street Journal put together a nice graphic that succinctly explains why US economic growth is slow at best. The answer lies in the fact that while there’s job growth in certain sectors, that growth has been restricted to low paying jobs in the food services, retail, admin and temporary help sectors.

While this has proven effective and driving up corporate profitability, it has done little to drive real economic growth.
